There are a couple of day to day functions in my users administration that I wanted to pass off to our Help Desk and was hoping to get a few ideas on how to go about this.

What I would like to do is give the Help Desk the ability to change Domino Web Access account passwords and manually compact databases however I don't want them to have the ability to mess with any other feature that would generally be available to administrators in the Domino Client. For the password change, I was thinking of perhaps having a small application built that would allow the Help Desk to type in a person's user name and old password. Once the information was inputted, they would then put in the new password and confirmation. I don't have any ideas how to get around the mail file compact problem.

How is this done in other companies?

I appreciate all thoughts and suggestions.
